Thoughts About Mash Ups

The idea of taking something all right and taking something else that is all right, putting them together to make it better is something that I’m very ok with.

I am talking about music, of course, and not platypuses. Platypuses are living venn diagrams and they weird me out.

The only problem with mashups is if you listen to it enough, whenever you hear the song, you’ll automatically think of the remix instead of its original.

Case in point, djDOYOU’s Stuntin Like Mufasa. It’s Disney classics mashed with hip-hop and rap. I grew up watching Disney movies but now whenever I watch The Lion King, I’m going to think about Lil’ Wayne. Great. Just great.
