Thoughts About ESPN II
What does ESPN stand for? I’ve been trying to figure it out, but none of my guesses made sense so far. ESportes Para Network? That’s Spanish. I don’t even know if that’s correct Spanish.
Extreme Sports Plays Network? I get the S and I get the N, but what on Earth does the E and P stand for?
I mean, CNN is pretty obvious. Cable News Network. AMC, American Movie Classics. NBC, CBS, ABC, they’re all pretty easy to figure out. But ESPN. WTF does that stand for?
UPDATE: Just checked Wikipedia. It’s Entertainment Sports Programming Network. Which makes the E!SPN not so far-fetched anymore.
