Thoughts About Wal-Mart’s Check Out Line
I’m not sure why or how, but Wal-Mart’s check out lines are always long. Does not matter at what hour you go. Noon, it’s long. Midnight, it’s still long. It’s always long.
And Wal-Mart’s express check out lane is 20 items or less. 20 items or less. That’s not express. That’s a normal Tuesday Grocery Day. People in line have a shopping cart with cans, produce and stuff that add up to be a little over 20 items, and then there’s me, who has a box of 100 count paper clips and a bag of Skittles.
OK. No use complaining about the express check out lane. There’s a self check out lane, that’s usually fast. But no.
There’s a line. People with over 20 items standing in this line. People with non-scannable, code entering, scale-weighing produce in this line. People who thought they could do a better job than the cashiers in the regular lines but can’t really work a computer in this line. And me. With box of 100 count paper clips and a bag of Skittles.
